James Burke on Attraction

I’ve just received a really interesting question from the guys over at The Attraction Institute:
—————–
Hi James,
Love your work, and all that other nonsense. Just wondering if you’ve ever looked into the field of sexual attraction. It seems like this is one area that science doesn’t really delve into and I was wondering if you coudl shed some light on it. We’ve been working with Men to help them build their strength and confidence with women for over 5 years and we really want to put a scientific basis behind what we’re doing. Would you be interested in assisting in our research?
There are so many theories out there about evolutionary psychology that, in our opinion, completely miss the mark because they’re focused on ‘why’ women might be attracted to men, not how to make women more attracted to men. The basic philosophy behind what we’re doing is that we believe that in order for a Man to attract a woman, he has to focus on changing the way she feels. He has to stop focussing on what he’s doing or the steps he’s running or the skills he’s using and really focus on how he’s making her feel.
Our theory goes deeper because we believe that in order to change the way a woman feels, you first have to change the way the Man feels. If the man feels lost, scared, nervous, or fearful, then there’s no way he’s going to be able to help the woman feel free, open, powerful, and sexy.
How does all this sound to you and would you be interested in helping out with our research?

James, if you’re out there reading, what do you say?
