Christmas Trees in Sydney Knocking on Your Door

Delivery used be a luxury saved for pizza and packages, but nowadays every product, every food, hell even your groceries may be delivered right to your doorstep. So I got to thinking, is there a limit to this madness? Is there something somewhere that is committed to being like a stationary rock on a stationary road in a stationary house, and asks the customer to knock on its stationary door? The answer I found was… not really, man.

What I found out was that Christmas season is a time where anything goes. Cakes, animals, restaurants, everything can and will be sent to your home if it is what you so desire – so long as it fits in a box and can be carried by a burly man from the north side of the south. The item I found especially popular, to my surprise, were Christmas trees.

Maybe I’m just a little too clingy to my childhood innocence, but Christmas trees being mail delivered to your home just seems so wrong. I remember waking up at the crack of dawn to go chop down nature’s beard. I hated it. But it’s a part of the holidays that I can’t imagine not being there. Like Santa or gingerbread men, chopping down trees as Christmas as the baby Jesus himself, probably. Maybe that’s a bit of an overstatement, but businesses around the world are marketing themselves as being just a phone call and a carol away. From New York, to London, to the Christmas Tree Man in Sydney, Australia (where Christmas Day falls in the Summer, I might add) all deliver Christmas trees right to your door.

Soon enough, these mail-approved trees will come already decorated and gifted, giving every citizen of the world to sit on their sofa for each and every Christmas to come.
